Love this place! Cute little restaurant with friendly staff and yummy food for decent prices. They've got a great 2 for 1 beer happy hour that really makes my day! Also, the little baby cheesecake dessert portions are a fantastic treat after a nice meal

BEST SUSHI PLACE EVER. My wife and I came back just four weeks after our first visit, and once again, it did not disappoint! The chef, as always, prepared our custom smoked salmon and salmon skin sushi to perfection. As a fun bonus, they even gave us sushi stickers afterward! This is hands down the most accommodating and satisfying sushi spot in the area. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Oishi Sushi was incredibly accommodating, even creating a custom roll with salmon skin and smoked salmon just for us. Our server was warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back!

One of the best places to get fresh, good quality sushi in the DMV area. The service is always attentive & courteous. The huge selection of rolls makes it convenient and easy for big parties to share. Each roll was delicious and had a unique blend of flavors. Everything tasted fresh and didn’t seem like it was sitting around. The nigiri sushi pieces were juicy and refreshing. It was SO good - I’m definitely going back! I was searching for Tonkatsu locally, and Oishi was the only place that came up. My husband and I tried it on a whim and absolutely loved it. We’ve been back several times for sushi as well. The Yakitori is delicious. The Tonkatsu is delicious. The spicy sauce for their sushi is actually spicy, but also flavourful. The fish is fresh and tastes great as well. I really enjoy the menu selection, and try something different each time. I am jonesing for some Tonkatsu soon though. (Photos from another visit to Oishi 09/12/24)

Came back to this spot last night with a couple of friends, and honestly, I was even more impressed the second time around. Our server actually remembered us from weeks ago, which was such a cool touch. Service was on point — we got water right away and our food came out fast. I ordered sushi (again) and, like always, I can’t eat a ton at once, so I had leftovers. If you’re a sushi lover, you know next-day sushi can be super hit or miss. But the next day? Still amazing. The rice wasn’t hard, the fish wasn’t chewy — it still tasted fresh and high quality, which says a lot about their ingredients. There’s also a ton to choose from — sushi rolls, apps, teriyaki, fried rice — something for everyone. I’m definitely making this a regular go-to. Pro tip: Try the Sarah Roll — it’s seriously so good!

Don’t sleep on Oishi!!! Always consistently delicious, fresh and amazing customer service. Michael, Chef and team are all friendly, wonderful people who want you to have the best experience. The rolls are inventive, but the menu isn’t overly extensive- because it allows the ingredients to be as fresh as possible! They keep the most popular rolls-and let me just say we have tried many- though never a disappointment. The soups, appetizers, noodles, tempura, entrees are all excellent. Cannot recommend enough.
